Waters of Creation

Waters of Creation is inspired by the life force that nourishes and sustains all living things. Stacked glass with nibbled edges is illuminated from behind to create the effect of falling water flowing into the river bed. Sand blasted walls of limestone framing the shell display fossils that remind us of Earth’s creation. The shell, fabricated of bronze cradling hand cast glass forms, is a symbol water’s healing and cleansing properties. Light reflected from the shell’s glass creates multiple colors that shift from bright copper red to gold, to green at various viewing angles.
