The Vision: To join the community together to create healing and promote Oneness through an interactive public artwork that features love, equality, unity, and connection.
The Objective: To install UNITY RISING in a prominent publicly accessible place. The overarching goal is to create community unity. This interactive monumental public artwork models a world of unity and equality, promoting connection and inspiring a transformation in race relations.
The Concept: UNITY RISING is composed of adults and children, female and male of differing shapes and sizes - one is pregnant, one is in a wheelchair. Their vibrant colors symbolize all races. They have come together in support of each other bringing Doves of Peace and Butterflies to release.
Installation Future Relocation:
● The sculpture is structurally engineered to form a structurally sound whole.
● Each individual figure is bolted to the concrete footers poured to the frostline.
● The figures are then bolted or welded together to create the structure
● For relocation to a new site the figures can be unbolted from each other and their concrete footers for disassembly and relocation.
UNITY RISING is a collaborative project of the Friends of Unity, Canneto Studios and Peter Stork.
The sculpture’s copyrighted design was created and donated by Canneto Studios Inc. The structural engineering services were donated by Peter Stork.
