Our Goal was to create a signature entry public art landmark for Summa Health’s new main campus. A site-specific identifying sculpture that instills in viewers a sense of joy, and identity, belonging and attachment. Summa’s Beacon of Well-being draws its inspiration, meaning and forms from Summa’s namesake - reflecting the body of knowledge, values and multidisciplined team that bring wholeness and wellbeing to the Hospital’s community.
The sculpture’s contemporary stainless-steel figures celebrate the coming together of people across generations, disciplines and perspectives. Their uplifting movement creates feelings of joy and support for Summa and the community that nurtures the health and wellbeing of all its members
Summa’s ColorSphere symbolize the broad spectrum of knowledge held by the Hospitals team and employed in the care and wellbeing of patients and their caregivers.
